The big sweet tubs are out in the supermarket meaning one thing: Christmas is on its way. Though I won’t be getting my tubs yet, as I know they won’t make it ’til Christmas! We don’t do willpower at SED HQ. With that in mind, we know you’ll be planning your Christmas collection, we thought we’d come on with our Christmas baking shop 2023. We know – you can’t contain yourselves.
Where to begin then? Well, with the most magical night of the year, if you’re a child or have children: Christmas Eve. Our Christmas Eve boxes went very well last year. So we’ve decided to add to them with a Christmas sack, a 1 More Sleep embossing stamp, a reindeer face stamp and a cookie bite cutter & stamp Set. The cookie set this year is my fave. We’ve had a bite cutter since we started (oooo way back in 2017!), but adding the stamp, seems to bring it alive.
Christmas embossing stamps
Now we bake onwards to our Christmas Embossing Stamps. There you’ll see some Gaelic and Welsh stamps, along with English Merry Christmas. The silent night and penguin are debossers/pop outs. We don’t usually create debossers, as 3D printed versions aren’t as clean as acrylic, but these two have worked well. And then let me give you a close up of this log cabin. By all means ignore the painting (Van Gogh has no competition), but we are rather pleased with how the stamp has turned out. With a starry night, this will look amazing.
Gingerbread Houses
This collection continues to grow. We now have twenty-two houses – a veritable ginger housing estate. And have added three new Dutch Canal houses, Number 9 is already proving popular.
They’re available in 5cm mini size as well. We’ll definitely add more to those again next year, and maybe a couple of stamps. Of which, if you had a look at our Halloween baking shop, you’ll have seen the new set we’ve created. A rectangle cutter with matching stamps – here’s the Christmas edition. If you brought the Halloween cutter, then no need to buy again, you can add the stamps to your collection.
Super cute snowmen, or crazy Christmas crew – take your pick – and we’ll be adding to those next year. We’re already thinking of designs!

New this year
And finally, here’s a final round up of the cutters we’ve added to the collection this year. Especially the bear (top second right) and the new ‘chubbier’ jumper. We’ve added berries to the holly – and that could do double duty as a bat for Halloween. That genius thought came to me yesterday!
Commissions
Now – commissions – a small word about these. Halloween and Christmas are crazy times for commissions. So – if an idea is burning within, then spill it out to us, as soon as possible. We’ll have limited resources this year, and it’ll be a definite case of the early bird catches the fondant!
